JOHANNESBURG - African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) president, Collen Malatji, has accused Democratic Alliance (DA) federal council chairperson, Helen Zille, of being a significant obstacle to the well-being of the Government of National Unity (GNU).
Malatji's remarks came in response to Zille's social media comments, where she claimed the current administration was not a unity government but rather a coalition between the DA and the African National Congress (ANC).
Malatji expressed his frustrations with Zille during an exclusive interview with Eyewitness News.

Zille has stood firm by her view that President Cyril Ramaphosa used the GNU to sell the concept of governing with the DA.
However, Malatji described Zille's remarks as highly toxic and warned they could lead to internal issues in the long run.
"They must declare that this party belongs to Helen Zille because if it is Helen Zille PTY, then it must be so that we know we are engaging with the political parties of Helen Zille. We know when we engage with the EFF, we are engaging with a political parties of Julius Malema. Let it be because her conduct is disruptive."
He said the DA should implement internal disciplinary measures against Zille.
"Steenhuisen must man up. He must wear his pants. He can't be run like by Helen Zille, an old woman who runs him like he has no voice, an old woman runs him around, a mock."
Zille believes that a real unity government would include every single party represented in Parliament.
