CAPE TOWN - Cabinet says it welcomes the gazetting of South Africa’s new visa regime, saying this will go a long way to attract international skills and investment.
Home Affairs Minister Leon Schreiber this week gazetted the remote work visitor Visa and the new points-based system for work visas to help remove bureaucratic obstacles that have hampered South Africa’s Visa processes.
Addressing a post Cabinet briefing, Minister in the Presidency Khumbudzo Ntshavheni said the new visa regime matter also signals another Government of National Unity success.
"Cabinet welcomes the gazetting of South Africa’s new visa regime as a key step towards attracting international skills and investment, growing tourism and creating jobs. The Minister of Home Affairs Dr Leon Schreiber has gazetted the reforms which constitute another success under the Operation Vulindlela led initiative."
