WATCH: From hurricane selfies to strapping down homes... Milton goes VIRAL!
A man who strapped his entire house down ahead of the Florida hurricane has become an internet sensation.
Clarence Ford chats to Primedia Digital Content Editor Barbara Friedman about stories making waves online.

Hurricane Milton has made landfall in Florida.
The hurricane is bringing deadly storm surges to much of Florida's Gulf Coast, including densely populated areas such as Tampa, St Petersburg, Sarasota and Fort Myers.
Officials say this may be the strongest hurricane to hit this part of Florida in over 100 years.
While some residents in Florida have evacuated, others have opted to brave the storm while capturing content.
Friedman explains some 'startling' and 'strange' images captured so far:
First, there's this imagery of a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) satellite from space shows almost non-stop flashes of lighting
This imagery from @NOAA's #GOESEast 🛰️ is providing visible cloud imagery every 30 seconds of #HurricaneMilton as it pushes closer to Florida. Notice the frequent #lightning being picked up by the satellite's #GLM instrument as well.

Tampa resident Mohammed Nijem recently went viral for his Milton preparations - using enormous straps to tie his house down
(Many people want to see if the house survived and if the straps did the trick).

Instead of evacuating, some posted 'selfies' with comments joking 'that's natural selection' at its finest

I do not think it’s an accident that a lot of the people refusing to evacuate are professional content creators. they know they’ll never have this many eyeballs on them ever again pic.twitter.com/8xSYQwUIx5
