The SA Future Trust Summit celebrates the diverse and dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem of South Africa.
The conference ran from 24 to 25 October 2024.
White spoke to some of the entrepreneurs at the summit, and this was their advice:
Keep a tight hold of your finances
When building your business, you want to keep a close eye on what you are spending.
Avoiding unnecessary debt is essential to having security in your business.
Have a strong team
When starting your own business, you need the support of a strong team.
Even if your team is small, they are key to taking your business to level, and should work together well.
Know your community
One key piece of advice White took out of the summit is the importance of understanding your community and being good to them.
The community you start in can be some of your biggest supporters if you know how to get them involved.
Show up and do the work
Entrepreneurship is not for the faint of heart and it takes hard work to make it happen.
If you are not prepared to put in the hours, your business will not succeed.
“Put the hours in or don’t bother… this is not for sissies.”
