Dali Mpofu quits EFF for MK Party

The latest to leave is Dali Mpofu, the EFF’s former National Chair.

Mashele says this move was obvious as Mpofu is close with Jacob Zuma.

He believes this is a clear sign that the EFF is a ‘dead party’ and will not be a major player in South Africa for much longer.

“By the time we hit 2026, the leadership core of the EFF will be gone. Julius Malema will remain holding feathers when the bird is gone.”

“The EFF will never be the same again… It has no future. That is it.”
- Prince Mashele, Political analyst

Mashele says the former EFF members will attempt to bring their ideology into the MK Party and take it over to reflect what they want to achieve.

“Floyd, Dali, and the others who are leaving, are running away with the EFF’s ideology and Julius will be left alone.”
- Prince Mashele, Political analyst

However, Mashele does not believe they will succeed.

He says that the MK Party is the ‘personal property’ of Jacob Zuma and will not exist without him.

“If you do not understand that; you are naïve.”
- Prince Mashele, Political analyst
