JOHANNESBURG - The City of Tshwane says it's making headway in restoring water supply following a pump station outage.
It said Rand Water's effort to clear airlocks in the Hartbeeshoek supply line are showing positive results, with water levels improving in areas such as Soshanguve and Ga-rankuwa.
The outage left critical reservoirs low and hampered water flow due to airlocks in the system.

Water supply has since been restored in Mabopane Block C, The Reeds, with repairs also completed in Laudium and Atteridgeville.
City spokesperson Lindela Mashigo said water tankers remain available to assist residents during recovery efforts.
"The enlisting of intervention by the Tshwane political executive and senior management from the intergovernmental level is bearing fruit. Regular updates on the water situation will be provided continuously. The delivery of water, through tankers and/or bowsers, continues to be done in conjunction with ward councillors," said Mashigo.
