20,000 cyclists to take to the streets for Virgin Active 947 Ride Joburg THIS Sunday
Several roads will be closed from Johannesburg South to Midrand for the annual road race.

The highly anticipated Virgin Active 947 Ride Joburg road race kicks off on Sunday (17 November).
About 20,000 riders are set to take to the streets for the 97km and 35km races.

This year’s race also includes the campaign #IAmRidingFor, which hopes to inspire riders to share what keeps them pedalling.

Riders kick off their journey at 5.30 am and several roads across the city will be closed from midnight on the day.
