7 local legends inducted into South African Hall of Fame
Jomo Sono, Lucas Radebe, Desiree Ellis, and others were honoured for their contributions to soccer in South Africa.

Jomo Sono, Lucas Radebe, Desiree Ellis, Ace Ntsoelengoe, Neil Tovey, Shakes Mashaba, and Teenage Dladla were inducted into the South Africa Football Hall of Fame on Wednesday (20 November).
Sono formed Jomo Cosmos after playing for Orland Pirates alongside Mashaba in the 1970s.
Ellis led Banyana Banyana to victory at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
Ntsoelengoe played alongside Dladla at Kaizer Chiefs.
He went on to play in the North American Soccer League and was inducted into the US National Soccer Hall of Fame.
Radebe and Tovey won the Africa Cup of Nations with Bafana Bafana in 1996.
