Actors are afraid of Donald Trump, says Sebastian Stan (he plays him in ‘The Apprentice’)

Sebastian Stan could not find anyone to talk to him about his Donald Trump movie for 'Actors on Actors', claiming they are terrified of the US President-elect.

Sebastian Stan claims he was forced to cancel his appearance on Variety’s ‘Actors on Actors’ feature because other Hollywood stars were ‘too afraid’ to talk about Donald Trump.

The feature includes a series of interviews where actors from different films and television shows pair up and have candid conversations about their lives and recent projects.

During a recent red carpet appearance, Stan says he had to drop out when no other actor would take part alongside him due to the risk of having to discuss Trump, per The Guardian.

One of Stan’s recent projects includes him portraying Trump in the biopic ‘The Apprentice’.

“We couldn’t get past the publicists or people representing them, because [they were] too afraid to talk about this movie.

“For many, the idea that Trump is the same as any one of us is a really difficult thing to deal with at the moment and I understand the emotions are very high, but I think that’s the only way you’re going to grasp this film,” he says.

The biopic was heavily criticised by Trump on Truth Social, calling it a 'cheap, defamatory and politically disgusting hatchet job'.
