Listen below.
After months of chopping, braising, spicing, stressing, and sweating it out in the MasterChef kitchen, the moment has finally arrived to crown a champion!
Tomorrow night’s thrilling finale will reveal which of the final three contestants will walk away with the coveted title and a million rand prize.
From 20 talented home cooks to just three finalists, this is the nail-biting showdown that South Africa has been eagerly awaiting!
If Shamshum takes home the R1 million, she plans to use the prize to open a café that seamlessly blends the worlds of food and art.
For Brink, the prize would fund her dream of attending culinary school and hosting pop-up events that elevate South African cuisine to the fine-dining level.
Meanwhile, Mangwandi intends to use the money to develop food products and focus on initiatives that promote food security.
"I'm absolutely shocked because I never expected to get this far into the competition...I've just been shocked about the whole journey. It is the finale tomorrow so that fear is still there."
- Chanel Brink, MasterChef SA finalist
"It's important to look at things positively, like creativity-wise, what can I create that is different, that is new, that is revolutionary?"
- Bridget Mangwandi, MasterChef SA finalist
