On Sunday, 1 December, the City of Cape Town kicked off the festive season with its annual Adderley Street Festive Lights Switch-On.

The night started with a countdown making way for Mzansi's second national anthem, Sister Bethina, which warmed up the crowd. 

Mafikzolo, Dr Victor, the Rasta Rebels, 3 Tons of Fun, Wynand and Chereé Strydom, MÖRDA and many more artists entertained while comedians Alan Committie and Lunga Tshuka hosted the event.

And yes... it was a JOL!

"The music was klopping," says Orderson.

Of course, Cape Town's mayor, Geordin Hill-Lewis, was in attendance sporting a very festive Christmas jersey while busting some moves on stage.
