CAPE TOWN - The two men linked to the murder alleged underworld boss Mark Lifman are expected back at the George Magistrates Court on Thursday morning to apply for bail.
The controversial Cape Town businessman was shot and killed at a parking lot of a mall in George more than a month ago.
Johannes Hendrik Jacobs and Gert Johannes Bezuidenhout were arrested shortly after the shooting in Uniondale, an hour outside George.
Both suspects have ties to private security company PPA Security in Cape Town.
Last week Thursday, police raided the offices of PPA Security as part of the Lifman murder investigation.
According to the Cape Argus, one of the alleged gunmen, Bezuidenhout, has close links to the security firm's boss, Alwyn Landman.
The company has reportedly denied any involvement in Lifman's killing, and that the two suspects were previously contracted to do some work for the security firm.
Jacobs and Bezuidenhout are charged with premeditated murder, for their alleged involvement in Lifman's assassination.
The motive for the killing is still unknown.
