If you haven't been to Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden's for their summer concert series, here's an opportunity to experience great music and epic vibes surrounded by lush outdoor views.
Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden is set to dazzle audiences with an unmissable evening of live music on Sunday, 5 January 2025.
The night features two electrifying acts in a celebration of South African Afro pop music; the iconic Freshlyground will perform at the garden for the first time with their remarkable new vocalist, Mbali Makhoba and the Congo Cowboys will entertain audiences for a memorable evening with their unique blend of Americana and African rhythms.
Using the banjo and other percussion instruments, the Congo Cowboys marries 'old timey Americana banjo tunes with more of an African aesthetic and one band member who is Congolese sings in Lingala' and that's how the magic of Congo Cowboys' genre is made.
So, bring your blanket and a basket for a picnic-style night out and of course, your dancing shoes.
Gates open at 4 pm and the concert starts at 5:15 pm.
