Crestway (W Cape’s worst school in 2023) achieves 66% pass rate: ‘We aim for 100% this year’ – Prof Jonathan Jansen
Professor Jansen has helped bring Crestway High School’s pass rate from 35.9% to over 60%.

Professor Jansen has been working closely with Crestway High School to try and improve their results.
Last year they were the only school in the province with a pass rate below 40%.

After hearing this, Jansen called the Department of Education and offered to help turn it around.
In just a year, the school made a remarkable improvement, bringing its pass rate up to 66%.
Jansen says they achieved these results thanks to the extraordinary leadership of the principal and the hard work of the staff.
