Lynn Forbes remembers AKA on his 37th birthday: 'You made me a mother'

Late rapper Kiernan Forbes, commonly known as AKA, would have celebrated his 37th birthday on Tuesday (28 January).
To commemorate the occasion, his mother Lynn wrote a heartfelt, emotional tribute on her Instagram.
She shared a poem, recalling the day he was born.
“I couldn’t take my eyes off you, counting every tiny toe, every little finger. My tiny baby boy, my firstborn.”
She goes on to say that that moment changed her life forever.
“You made me a mother. I was yours, and you were mine. A bond unbreakable, an infinite love. I can never say ‘happy heavenly birthday’, for your birthday is an occasion forever etched in my heart,” she shares.
AKA passed away in 2023. The news of his death sent shockwaves throughout the country.
Nadia Nakai, his girlfriend at the time, also commemorated the late rapper’s birthday with his mother and daughter Kairo.
Taking to Instagram, she shared a carousel of images of the group celebrating with a cake, candles and balloons.
“Happy Heavenly Birthday AKA, love and miss you forever!” she wrote.
