Despite being ordered to do so by her father, Jacob Zuma, leader of the Umkhonto Wesizwe (MK) party, MP Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla has yet to apologise to Secretary General Floyd Shivambu.
In a post on X on Monday, Zuma-Sambudla called Shivambu 'the worst thing to happen to the MK Party.'
Zuma senior then issued a statement calling on his daughter to apologise for bringing the organisation into disrepute.
However, while Zuma-Sambudla has now apologised to the party and its structures for her comments, she has still not apologized to Shivambu.
Shivambu joined the MK Party after leaving the Economic Freedom Fighters in August last year.
However, there seems to be a faction in the MK party that is unhappy with Shivambu’s leadership.
Some MK regions have been calling for his removal, unhappy that some members are being replaced by those who did not play a role in its successful election campaign.
"MK is still young, and therefore it would be normal for us to try and find a footing to be able to stand."

"The party needs people with experience, needs everybody that is coming from different backgrounds."

"But don't undermine people that have been there on the ground, don't undermine the people that have been working."
