Wiretap transcripts by Italian authorities reveal mafia bosses unhappy with the calibre of its young recruits. 

The Telegraph reports that godfathers in the Sicilian mafia describe its latest recruits as 'miserable'.

Nearly 1,500 members of the mafia were recently arrested in raids involving 1,200 police officers in Italy.

“Even the mafia is finding it hard to recruit eager and efficient millennial and Gen Z staff… If you’re a boss struggling to find the right staff at the moment, yes, you’re in the same boat as the Cosa Nostra.”
