A Facebook group called, 2nd Chance Shelter in Boaz, Alabama reported on "the cutest story," says Friedman.

A three-year-old, Jack Russel cross named Emma, was reunited with her family on 7 February 2025 after her dog mom, Cheyenne thought she had been lost or taken after going to the 'bathroom' outside.

Her family looked for her but couldn't find her.

Five months passed and Emma was still missing until a lady found her and returned her to her mom in the most coincidental story, says Friedman.

The Facebook post read:

A woman had found Emma a few months ago and tried to find her family to no avail until she brought Emma to the shelter.

Cheyenne, who is a staff member at the shelter walked into the office to assist the woman.

Emma was behind the counter and when Cheyenne started talking, Emma recognised her mom's voice, wagging her tail and jumping.

Yes, Emma was Cheyenne's dog that had went missing five months ago.

The good Samaritan who brought Emma to the shelter lives close to Emma's home, giving her a second chance with her OG family.
