The Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment has initiated a process of transferring fire trucks to various district municipalities.

While the transfer is being negotiated some of the vehicles have been stored at the Centurion Fire Station in the City of Tshwane.

Previously there had been reports that these trucks belonged to the City of Tshwane but had been sitting idle.

Bokaba says that while they are standing idle this is not the city’s fault as the trucks do not belong to them.
