Angela Laverne Brown, popularly known as Angie Stone, has passed away at the age of 63.
Reports indicate that the R&B icon and neo-soul pioneer died in a car accident on Saturday.

Stone had a remarkable career in music, earning Grammy nominations, collaborating with music legends, and taking on notable acting roles.
Her journey began with The Sequence, the first all-female group signed to Sugar Hill Records, recognised for their hit "Monster Jam."
Stone achieved solo success with her 1999 album "Black Diamond", which featured the popular song "No More Rain (In This Cloud)".
She is survived by her son Michael, daughter Diamond, and two grandchildren.
