JOHANNESBURG - Limpopo police commissioner Thembi Hadebe is set to provide insights into the province's complex cases solved during the 2024/2025 financial year.

The commissioner, alongside Transport and Community Safety MEC Violet Mathye, is expected to present the third quarter crime statistics on Monday.

This comes after the recent release of national crime statistics, where Police Minister Senzo Mchunu revealed a decrease in serious crimes across all provinces.

Limpopo police spokesperson Hlulani Mashaba said the presentation will highlight the progress of police performance.

“The MEC and provincial commissioner will highlight strides made in dealing with serious and violent crimes in the province. The MEC and the provincial commissioner will also give insight into some of the complex murder, gender-based violence and corruption cases the police have solved in recent times, including the recovery of high calibre firearms.”
