JOHANNESBURG - Taxi commuters in Mofolo, Soweto, said they are concerned about heavy police presence amid tensions between two taxi associations.

The Nancefield Dube West Association (NANDUWE) admitted to blocking roads between Orlando and Mofolo on Monday due to a dispute over routes with the Witwatersrand African Taxi Association (WATA).
This commuter said they are unhappy with the situation. “We are scared by what we’re seeing here because we are surrounded by people carrying guns, so anyone can catch a stray bullet unnecessarily.”
