With the G20 Summit around the corner, there is a push to improve Johannesburg’s image.

The President has proposed the creation of a Presidential Johannesburg Working Group to address some of the city’s challenges.

These include service delivery, job creation, and financial struggles.

Swanepoel says this visit does give hope that there will be meaningful change.

She says that there is a renewed focus on fixing the issues in the city after this visit.
