Snack lovers across South Africa, Lay’s Sour Cream & Onion crisps (yes, the light green packet) have returned to supermarket shelves after an extended absence.
Their disappearance sparked an outcry, with consumers flooding social media with pleas and petitions, hoping to bring back the tangy, creamy taste they sorely missed.
And earlier this month, fans' cries and passion for bringing this one back - were heard.
A Change Organisation-led campaign helped amplify the calls for the return of the much-loved crisps, with thousands of supporters sharing their nostalgia-fuelled memories and unwavering desire to see the flavour reinstated.
Their efforts paid off when PepsiCo (Lay's South Africa's parent company) officially confirmed that the crisps were back for good.
Say it with us... local will always be, lekker!
Fans on social media have rejoiced in the comeback of the humble chippie...
