Motorists can expect some good news at the pumps on Wednesday (7 May).

The Department of Mineral Resources and Energy confirmed the price of both 95 and 93 unleaded will decrease by 22 cents per litre.

The price of diesel (0.05% sulphur) will drop by 42 cents a litre, and diesel (0.005% sulphur) will come down by 41 cents per litre.

Paraffin will decrease by 31 cents.

The Department says the international petroleum product prices and the rand-US dollar exchange rate contributed to the decrease in petrol and diesel prices.
