JOHANNESBURG - Some Tshwane residents are being warned to brace themselves for water supply interruptions caused by a pipe leakage in Sunnyside.
The warning comes after a water shutdown was implemented by the city recently because of a major pipe burst that left several areas without water.
The metro said it suspected that repairs underway on the line that burst last week may have caused the new leakage.

Tshwane’s spokesperson, Lindela Mashigo, said that water tankers would be dispatched to affected areas.
"Once trenching is completed, the team will cut and replace the damaged pipe with the one with a welded stub and then join and weld the other side of the pipeline. The following areas have been affected by this unplanned water supply interruption: parts of CBD, Sunnyside, Arcadia, Eastwood."
