Amy MacIver (standing in for CapeTalk's Clarence Ford) speaks to Primedia's Digital Content Editor Barbara Friedman about trending online stories.

Listen below:

A video of a high school teen hurdler, identified as Brooklyn Anderson from the United States, has gone viral for her epic, but unusual, victory.

Anderson was running hurdles in Thurston High School's track and field championship in Eugene, Oregon on 31 May, competing for the OSAA 5A girls' 100-metre hurdles state title.

Just seconds away from the finish line, Anderson tripped... but her super speedy and 'instinctive' recovery is what's going viral online, notes Friedman,

The video captured from the event shows the track star's tumbling reflex kicking in, prompting her to somersault twice. If you're South African, we call the motion a 'bollemakiesie' - and it got her over the finish line first, with a time of 14.93 seconds.

"Her reflexes are so incredible", says Friedman.
