Have you ever had the feeling that you have had the very same experience before?

This false sense of familiarity is often described as déjà vu, an incredibly common experience that at least 97% of people have had at least once in their lives.

It only becomes a concern when it presents itself with other symptoms such as stress, fatigue, hallucinations, high emotional changes, etc.

“From a biological point of view, it is usually something wrong with the electricity or the neurotransmitter in the brain itself.”
– Dr Gwen Tonyane, Psychiatrist

From a spiritual point of view, Ndlanzi describes déjà vu as an experience that returns you to memories that you have locked.

Because the feeling of experiencing it is unfamiliar, it can be scary.

“In spirituality, déjà vu is a sign of a spiritual awakening, a sign of something or a soul's communication. We believe that not everybody is a new soul, some of us are returning souls… your soul is recalling.”
– Gogo Dineo Ndlanzi, Traditional Healer
“It’s nothing to be scared about… [but] look around at what else is happening around you, so that you are able to rule out if we are on the verge of a psychotic collapse.”
– Gogo Dineo Ndlanzi, Traditional Healer
