CapeTalk's Clarence Ford speaks to Proteas legend Shaun Pollock, who is at Lord’s Cricket Ground commentating on the world's most anticipated Test match of the past two years, the World Test Championship final between South Africa and Australia.
Listen below:
The World Test Championship final kicked off on Wednesday 11 June, in which the mighty Australia takes on underdogs South Africa at Lord's Cricket Ground in London.
On day one, Kagiso Rabada took five wickets as South Africa seized the early initiative before Australia fought back.
Rabada overtook Allan Donald to become South Africa's fourth highest Test wicket-taker by claiming 5-51 as Australia were bowled out for 212.
South Africa ended the day on 43/4, trailing by 169 runs. It was a brilliant middle session with the ball for the Proteas, followed by a hard-fought final phase to close out the day.
"KG [Kagiso Rabada] was fantastic!" says Pollock.
"He really got the ball to nip around... he was fantastic. Australia came and showed what they're capable of... batting was always going to be our challenge in this match, and we'll have to wait and see if they can juice a better batting performance today."

"We're in the game now... bowl them out for 212 so it can be even-Stevens after first innings. I think we'll have to be a little bit better in the backup for the bowling and batting the second time around. It's in the balance, but at this stage Australia will probably be feeling better with where they're at after yesterday."
