WC police probing triple murder and one attempted murder in Philippi East

CAPE TOWN - Western Cape police are investigating a triple murder and an attempted murder in Philippi East.
Police said that unknown men opened fire on the victims, leaving three dead and another injured on Monday.
Police spokesperson Andre Traut said that serious violent crime detectives were investigating the incident, which occurred at a house in the Better Life informal settlement in Philippi East.
Traut said three men aged between 28 and 39 are dead and a fourth man is wounded.
"According to reports, the victims were inside the residence when unknown assailants entered the premises and opened fire at them. Three victims were declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel, while the fourth was transported to a medical facility for treatment," Traut.
Police are investigating three counts of murder and one of attempted murder.
No arrests have been made.
