Bad blood was spilt between Greece’s Maria Sakkari and Kazakhstan's Yulia Putintseva at a Wimbledon warm-up game in Germany on Sunday (22 June).
While Sakkari took the victory in straight sets, she was less than pleased with Putintseva's handshake at the net.
She accused Putintseva of not looking her in the eye when they shook hands, prompting the Kazakhstani to dramatically curtsey at her.
Some inaudible arguing followed.
“Respect me like a human being,” Sakkair could be heard saying.
Putintseva replied with: "Just leave me alone".
“Nobody likes you,” Sakkari shot back.
Eventually, the chair umpire got involved, and the pair broke away.
“... schoolgirl stuff... I wait with bated breath to see what happens at Wimbledon next week.”
