Cape Town is currently experiencing heavy rainfall, which has led to temporary flooding in low-lying areas.
Some canals, vleis and retention ponds are filling and exacerbating flooding.
Should water remain on roads after the rain has subsided and there are no signs of it draining, residents and road users are urged to report these incidents:
- Call: 0800656463
- Email: transport.info@capetown.gov.za
- SMS: 31373 (no more than 160 characters).
Residents and road users are advised to drive carefully, remain vigilant, and report flooding incidents to the City to ensure they are attended to.
