Early forecasts point to petrol, diesel hike in July 2025
Despite a spike in international oil prices, a resilient rand may soften the blow.

Motorists will likely have to fork out more at the pumps next month.
The Central Energy Fund’s latest mid-month outlook forecasts a slight increase in the price of petrol in July.
The data points to a 6 cent hike in the price of 93 octane and a 9 cent hike in the price of 95 octane.
The price of diesel is also projected to see a slight increase of around 10 to 15 cents.
The CEF reports that while escalations in the Middle East pushed oil prices, a resilient rand may soften the blow.
Official fuel prices will be confirmed by the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy at the end of June and implemented on Wednesday, 3 July 2025.
