FS police shoot dead one suspect, arrest another after bottle store robbery
Police say a group of five men had gained entry to a bottle store on Saturday morning. The suspects had allegedly shot and killed the shop owner during their robbery.

JOHANNESBURG - Free State police have nabbed some suspects connected to a robbery that left one person dead in Deneysville.
Police report that five men gained entry to a bottle store on Saturday morning, fatally shooting the shop owner during the robbery.

A manhunt was launched immediately after law enforcement responded to the incident.
Captain Loraine Earle says after they had traced the suspects, a shootout ensued.
"Members of the Highway Patrol spotted the suspects' vehicle on Vereeniging Road. Upon interception, the suspects opened fire on police officers. Police returned fire. One suspect (38) was wounded and later succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. Another 20-year-old suspect, who was the driver of the getaway vehicle, was arrested on the scene."
She added that they were still searching for other suspects who got away.
