In June, Air India Flight 171 crashed shortly after take-off, killing 260 people.
Only one person on board survived the crash.
An investigation revealed that two fuel-control switches were moved to the cut off position, which triggered a total power loss.
The cockpit voice recording catches one pilot asking the other why he ‘did the cut off’ while the other responded that he did not.
The switches have a locking feature which means their position cannot be switched accidentally.
It is not yet clear which voice belonged to which pilot.

According to Turner, one of the pilots reportedly had depression and mental health issues.
“We wait and see, but now it has taken a weird twist.”
