So what is Nedlac's role in government's National Dialogue?
Speaking to Stephen Grootes on The Money Show, Makhukhu Mampuru, Nedlac's executive director says Nedlac will play a guiding role in in ensuring the the debates and conversations about South Africa can happen in a constructive manner.
"In order for us to support the work of the National Dialogue, obviously a budget is going to be set aside for that particular purpose. And of course, we don't need R700m to support the work of the National Dialogue."
- Makhukhu Mampuru, executive director - Nedlac
"I don't really think the National Dialogue will be looking for people to agree. In fact, on the contrary, I would imagine the National Dialogue would have played its job, played its role very well if it manages, if it allows people to ventilate all aspects of their frustrations, their thinking, their proposals."
- Makhukhu Mampuru, executive director - Nedlac
"We have systems. We don't necessarily have the complete human resources for this, but we have the knowledge. We have the know-how. We have the ability to coordinate complex activities."
