Camps Bay police have asked members of the public to help identify the person depicted in a facial composite they've released, after a brutal attack on Table Mountain.
The assault took place on Sunday, 6 July, just after noon on the jeep track above the Camps Bay area.
While an SAPS statement does not actually pin the crime on the man in the image, they say 'it's believed that he can help police' with the case.
The woman who was attacked was hit multiple times on the head with a rock, and has apparently been left partially blind.

SANParks reported that their rangers were called to the scene and administered first aid, while other teams searched the area for the suspect.
The victim's husband, Ken Noble, shared details of the horrific assault during an interview with John Maytham on CapeTalk.
"This madman hit her over the head with a rock, three times, four times, then tried to gouge her eye out. She required four hours of surgery to repair her scalp, then eye surgery and she's lost 50% of her vision in her left eye."

Noble's wife had been walking on her own when she was attacked and her assailant fled when he saw two other women approaching with a dog.
