From sifting through CVs before a hiring process, to automating tasks and making complex decisions, AI is infiltrating every part of the working world.
The prevalence of AI means workers will need to start being trained in using it or risk being made redundant by the technology.
While some fear they could be replaced by AI others argue that AI can be used alongside human workers to improve workplace efficiency.
Ndobela says bigger companies in South Africa are already running AI software, but at middle management levels people are still uncomfortable with it.
“Readiness is not just about hardware; it is also a mindset and policy thing.”
