KPMG South Africa has announced that Joelene Pierce will step into the role of Chief Executive Officer on 1 March 2026.

She will take over the reigns from current CEO Ignatius Sehoole who is set to retire.

Pierce currently heads KPMG South Africa’s Financial Services division and sits on the firm’s Policy Board.

She has been with KPMG for 26 years, including 19 years as a partner, and is recognised for her deep expertise in the financial services sector with three decades of experience.

Speaking to Stephen Grootes on The Money Show, incoming KPMG South Africa CEO Joelene Pierce says she's excited to step into a new role with the firm.
