The incident sent shockwaves countrywide; however, the victims’ families are yet to receive answers.

Last week, a witness, testifying on a separate matter, linked some of the accused in the mass murder.

The matter will be heard by the special Mthatha High Court sitting at the Lusikisiki Magistrates Court.

The trial was met with a few glitches and delays last week.

Both the prosecution and defence have completed leading evidence from a witness in the murder of a politician and businessman shot and killed in KwaBhaca in August 2024.

The State has linked the firearms in the KwaBhaca case with those used in Ngobozana village when the 18 victims were attacked.

State prosecutors will now lead evidence from their witness in the matter.

Six men stand accused of the murder, including the alleged mastermind behind the brutal killing, Mzikisi Ndamase.

The families of the victims have since called for justice in honour of their loved ones.
