CAPE TOWN - Two suspects, including a 15-year-old boy, are set to return to court on Wednesday for the murder of a police officer in Beaufort West.
The Hawks said that 23-year-old Constable Courtlin Lakay was off duty when he was killed on Sunday.
His colleagues responded to an incident at a place of entertainment in KwaMandlenkosi, where they found the officer's body with a stab wound to the back.
Lakay was stationed at Beaufort West SAPS.
Hawks spokesperson, Zinzi Hani, said the accused made a brief appearance on Tuesday and the matter was rolled over to Wednesday.
"The matter was postponed to 27 August 2025 while the State is looking for suitable accommodation for the accused juvenile."
