Winde confirms Delta Airlines to increase flights from Atlanta to Cape Town

Western Cape Premier Alan Winde said he was pleased to confirm that Delta Airlines would be increasing its flights from Atlanta in the United States to Cape Town.
Winde recently returned from a ten-day trip to the US to improve trade relations, investment, tourism and jobs in the province.

The premier said that more than 160,000 tourists visited the Western Cape from the United States in 2024.
"The great news is that there are three direct flights a week to Cape Town from Atlanta. That's going to now be increasing to five flights a week, and we will also be looking at any regulatory blocks to perhaps next year we move that to a daily flight," said Winde.
