South Africa's gymnasts aim high at trampoline world championships

JOHANNESBURG - South Africa is set to showcase its talent at the 38th Trampoline Gymnastics World Championships in Pamplona, Spain, which runs from November 5 to 9, 2025. A select team of six elite athletes has been chosen to represent the nation at this prestigious international event.

The championships will feature a variety of exciting disciplines, including individual and synchronised trampoline, as well as tumbling and double mini-trampoline (DMT) events.
The South African squad includes:
Leolin Petersen
Nikita Chambers
Matthew Bosch
Jean Claude Roux
Jean-Pierre Roux
Michael Masangane Jnr
These athletes are ready to compete on the world stage.
In addition to individual accolades, competitors will vie for world titles in synchronised trampoline, which will mark the debut of mixed synchro at the championships. Titles will also be contested in DMT and tumbling. This event marks the beginning of a new Olympic cycle, setting the tone for future international competitions.
