Johannesburg can expect a warm and sunny Thursday:

Temperatures are expected to soar to around 30 °C, according to AccuWeather. The sky will mostly be crystal clear.

The UV index is expected to be ‘extreme’ while the wind will be gentle (coming from the west to west-south-west).

Evening conditions will remain calm with temperatures dropping to 16 °C.

A bright, hot day in Pretoria:

Temperatures will climb to around 32 °C. The morning may bring a few light showers, but after that it'll clear to partly cloudy skies and, eventually, loads of sunshine.

The UV index is expected to reach the 'extreme' level.

The breeze will be light, mostly from the north at around 6 km/h, so not a lot of cooling relief.

As the evening draws in, the heat will ease off, and the sky will remain mostly clear. The overnight low will hover near 17 °C.

Cape Town set for a perfectly sunny day on Thursday:

The Mother City can look forward to another sparkling day tomorrow, with a coastal breeze that will keep things comfortable.

Temperatures will climb to 25 °C in the afternoon. The sky will stay mostly clear from sunrise to sunset.

A steady south-easterly wind will sweep across the peninsula at around 27 km/h, occasionally gusting up to 65 km/h.

The UV index is expected to reach an extreme level of 11.

Minimum temperatures will drop to about 16 °C.
