Six hundred Putco bus drivers are undergoing training ahead of the Easter weekend.

The bus company said the drivers will be transporting thousands of Zion Christian Church (ZCC) members to Limpopo for the Easter weekend. 

The workshop is being held in conjunction with a number of transport law enforcement agencies and stakeholders. 

Putco said that it wants to ensure an incident-free Easter weekend.

Spokesperson Lindo Xulu said, "The company will be collaborating with key stakeholders such as the road accident fund, Johannesburg Metro Department, Gauteng traffic police and community safety who will all be actively workshopping our drivers to be more alert, defensive and responsive during this high-pressure period.”
