The ad hoc committee investigating allegations of police corruption resumes its work to consider yet another extension.
The committee had until Tuesday to wrap up all business and submit its findings to the National Assembly (NA) Speaker, Thoko Didiza.
The parliamentary body concluded its oral hearings and evidence earlier this month with a closing submission from KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) police commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi.
Tuesday's meeting of the ad hoc committee will discuss the usual "housekeeping" matter, but will also include discussions around another deadline.
The committee has already been granted three deadlines and was set to finish all its business.
But the committee failed to sit last week due to the unavailability of many members of the committee.
The Tuesday meeting will suggest another date extension, after close to six months of hearings that started in October 2025.
The committee, chaired by African National Congress (ANC) member of Parliament (MP) Soviet Lekganyane, is expected to finalise a draft report following more deliberations between members.
The report will contain findings and recommendations before it goes to Didiza and the NA for final adoption.
