Listen below:

AI tools such as ChatGPT and Gemini can be a quick and convenient way to produce content or get answers about a topic, but sometimes over prompting can 'confuse' it, says Goldstuck.

He explains that providing too much information, complex language, or multiple questions in a single prompt can lead to incoherent or incomplete responses.

"In other words, AI goes quietly mad when you give it too many prompts. So, the AI model struggles to process and prioritise excessive details... which leads to diluted or irrelevant outputs or just simply, garbage. So as sophisticated as they are, when you pose overly complex or convoluted language to them [AI tools], they can't understand and start going their own route."

  • Break down complex tasks by dividing large requests into smaller, manageable prompts.
  • Avoid overly complex languages and phrases.
