The GNU is on shaky ground after the recent dismissal of Andrew Whitfield for his unauthorised trip to the United States.
The DA issued an ultimatum to the ANC to remove corruption-accused ANC MPs from the cabinet or face consequences.
The Presidency responded, saying he would not yield to threats or ultimatums.
The DA has since withdrawn from the National Dialogue, threatening political retaliation.
However, Xaba says the DA cannot walk away from the GNU because they have too much to lose.
“The DA always threatens to do something, but they never do. Their bark is worse than their bite.”

He adds that the DA seems to switch between acting as an opposition party and a party in government.
“They want to act like a watchdog to the ANC instead of working together with them.”
