Cape Town City FC eagerly awaits the results of the Golden Arrows and SuperSport United Fixture on 29 May, to find out their fate in the Betway Premiership.

The two teams will play a fixture, where they were drawn 1–1 that was stopped in February due to loadshedding.

Despite City finishing the season on 27 points, just a point above the relegation zone, SuperSport can still knock them out on goal difference if they win or draw.

If City finishes in the relegation spot, they will be in a play-off to win their spot back in the Premiership.

“We feel very encouraged about the way things have happened… legacies are defined by these decisions… a game that was played in February, three months ago.”
– John Comitis, Chairman – Cape Town City FC
“Unfortunately, that’s where we find ourselves and we need to face it… we go out every day, we’re preparing for the worst and we are ready. If we need to go to the play-offs, we will.”
– John Comitis, Chairman – Cape Town City FC
