Donald Trump has merch?
Yes, the United States President sells watches, sneakers, fragrances, sneakers, Bibles, and trading cards that come with cut-up bits of his mug-shot suit, sold by 'The Trump Organisation', which is run by Eric and Donald Jr. Trump.
On Monday, it launched a mobile network, Trump Mobile, and a Trump-branded phone, the T1, which is 'coming soon'
The phone is set to cost $499 (almost R9,000), and comes with a mobile service for a monthly fee of $47,45 (around R850), since Trump is the 47th and 45th President of the United States.
"Of course, he could've made it the other way around and made it slightly cheaper, but no," quips Gilchrist.
Trump says the phone is completely American-made, which is unlikely.
"...... I don't think you can make an entirely American-made phone... almost impossible to make any phone from one dominion, so where would the component parts be from? Would he have to tariff the component parts?"
